Hey everyone!!!
Guys! It’s happening! We’re launching abroad to Romania in 4 days (the 12th)!! Currently I am at our missions base in Georgia completing some final training with my squad. The month of July FLEW! The second week of July I completed training camp (for the 2nd time ;)) with my new squad and new leadership! I recorded a vlog above, to invite you guys into the enriching time that training camp was: both community-wise and spiritually!
When I returned home from training camp, I prepared to leave for 11 months (for real this time!) and visited all my ministry partner churches (including a weekend trip to Sterling) <3!! I LOVE YOU GUYS! It was so good to finally be traveling all over Kansas again. I AM SO THANKFUL I got to embrace and catch up with everyone! Your encouragement and generosity just–BAM–wins my heart over and over AND OVER! I can’t imagine doing anything but what I am doing right now. I still grit my teeth, a big lump forms in my throat, and my eyes fill with tears when I type this, but it was WORTH IT to work and preserve space for a year and a half to get back to where I knew God had planted me serving with World Race.
Gratitude is what I feel when I wake every morning in my tent. Gratitude is what I feel when I sit down with my teammates around a plate of foreign breakfast. Gratitude is what I feel getting to partner with God in all the encounters, healings, reconciliations, and miracles He is desiring to do around the world!
Additionally, I have 2 more points of exciting news!
1) I am now committed to the full 11 months and will resume fundraising! Summarized, at TC Holy Spirit was nudging me to surrender my post-Race plans and commit fully to the work He wants to do in our squad and these ministries this next year. It actually felt relieving to admit that, yes, deep down I’d always wanted to go back and do the whole program. My fear of not being provided for and needing a Plan B this time coming back, held me back. But Holy Spirit was advocating for this desire in my heart. Friends, fear and control DO NOT get to determine my days–God does, and I’m stepping into that!
Soooooo I am now $4,000 away from being fully funded and the deadline for all funds is Sept. 24th. So let’s break it up. My goal is to raise $2,000 by the end of August, and the other half by the end of September.
To reach my August goal and be able to continue ministering to others on the field, I am needing 4 people to donate $50, 5 people to donate $100, 3 people to donate $200, and 1 person to donate $500. Please ask the Lord if He is stirring your heart to support our missions financially! Your support is multiplied in so many ways when we get to be face to face with people who don’t know Jesus personally, and share the hope they’ve been looking for with them. To be Jesus’s ambassador–I need your help! Any amount donated is deeply appreciated!
You can donate online on my blog or send a check to my parent’s address! Email me with any questions because I no longer have my phone: [email protected].
2) Each member of our team is assigned roles: team leader, treasurer, health coordinator, women’s event coordinator, worship coordinator, and intercessor. Guys. I am so humbled and honored to be asked to serve my squad as a team leader. On my previous Race, I had admired my alumni team leader for the unique relationship she got to develop with our hosts (as the liaison between host and team), how she shepherded our little church (while first being shepherded by God), and how she inspired and united us to love God and serve well. Ah. Miss you Malysa! Deep in my heart I desired to team lead in the future after I finished the Race. Then ‘rona. Then committing as a Racer again. But God. He had other plans ; ). So! In summary, I will get to serve in ministry with my teammates, but also get to pray into and lead through serving with these additional responsibilities–which I’m wildly passionate about!!
Okay! I feel like I’m skipping around throwing good news in the air like flower petals! AND IT’S STILL JUST THE BEGINNING!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! *dances* I’m so thankful we serve a God who knows us fully and advocates for our heart. Even after a long season of deep grief, deep loneliness, lots of questions–God chose not to disqualify me when others this past year did. Because of Him, I’m chosen, restored, and included. I’m so thankful, friends. Please pray for my squad as we prepare and travel to Romania!! <3
So, um. Who all is still here? Lol. Comment below to let me know I can count on you for prayer. YOUR PRAYERS MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! I really appreciate you and our journey is going to be incredible!
